About the role

As a MACHINIST, WG-3414-11, you will perform machining work to manufacture castings, forgings, weldments, and other fabrications; plan and lay out work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, part models, and other specifications and instructions; receive work orders that indicate what work is to be done and plans work accordingly; lay out work by measuring and marking straight lines, arcs, circles, angles, and location points as guides for setting up work pieces for drilling, tapping, turning, milling, boring, reaming, shaping, grinding, honing, and lapping, using a variety of measuring and marking tools, including rules, vernier calipers, inside, outside, and depth micrometers, dial indicators, surface gauges, height gauges, squares, protractors, dividers, and scribers; use trade mathematics and standard handbook formulas in making computations to establish dimensions not provided in verbal instructions or written specifications; set up and operates most types of conventional and/or Com
