About the role
You will serve as a Mechanical Engineer in the Military Sealift Command (MSC), Engineering Department (N7), Life Cycle Management Division (N75). You will manage the ships life cycle plan by planning, directing and coordinating the maintenance and repair activities requiring industrial assistance for assigned ships. You will determine, plan, and schedule technical work requirements for availabilities for assigned ships. You will ensure that previous post availability analysis and recommendations are incorporated in current availability planning. You will regularly conduct ship checks to verify the work item technical requirements.
