About the role

Perform services on the Utilities Monitoring and Controls System (UMCS) for monitoring and controlling HVAC, fire/life, safety, security, energy, and utility systems in a variety of facilities. Conduct scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting tasks such as tightening contacts and connections, replacing fuses, resistors, and analog boards as needed. Use a line analyzer to measure voltage settings on analog boards; use a decade box (resistance simulator) to check sensors and calibrate analog boards; and use a digital VOM fluke to adjust voltage within 1/10,0000th of a volt on analog boards. Operate hand-held H2T test simulator or laptop computer on Field Processing Units to bypass keyboard controls while in field to adjust or alter set points. Enter facility schematics of system locations which provide a graphic representation for identifying a problem source.
