Retail Department Manager

Identifies potential departmental merchandise for the retail outlet and/or area assigned. Attends Tradeshows and uses various other resources to find merchandise desired by our patrons. Works closely with NABSD's Inventory Manager and assigned Analysts to ensure inventory investments are efficient and meet patron needs without diminishing profitability. Analyzes on hand inventory levels, on-order inventory, sales stock ratios, sales and inventory budgets for thepast 3-9-month period, and then selects and schedules the merchandise mix (sales and inventory) for the next 3-9-month period. Monitors the open order file monthly and initiates corrective follow-up action, as required, to ensure the proper merchandise mix to produce the budgeted sales and profit for the department and store.
