Registered Nurse (Performance Improvement Coordinator)

The Registered Nurse (Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator) functions independently and constantly interacts with Medical Center Leadership including service chiefs, supervisors, middle managers and front-line staff/employees. Also, interacts and communicates with accrediting bodies, community healthcare entities, veteran service organizations, Veterans Health Administration (VHA) employees from the Network and other agencies. Applies and adapts guidelines to resolve medical center issues. Leads the provision of nursing care to patients with complex care needs utilizing the nursing process in alignment with the America Nursing Association (ANA) Standards of Nursing Practice. The PI coordinator assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of care based on age specific components.
