About the role
The incumbent performs maintenance and repairs to vehicles and equipment that are not considered heavy duty vehicles/equipment, such as, but not limited to: combustion-powered automotive vehicles, farm tractors, forklifts, sensors, water pumps, spark plugs, brake shoes, engine gaskets etc. While performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, the incumbent: Determines when parts should be cleaned, reinstalled or replaced as needed for the repair or replacement of assemblies and subassemblies of equipment to include tractors with attachments, dump trucks, pickup trucks, SUVs, forklifts, trailers, compressors, and a variety of makes and models of lawn mowers, push mowers, string trimmers, edgers, blowers, etc. Diagnose equipment through visual, auditory checks, test equipment, and/or vehicle on-board computers as necessary to determine repair capabilities and parts requirements.
