As a General Attorney (Labor) (Field Attorney), GS-0905-12, your typical work assignments may include: Analyzing a variety of simple to moderately complex cases, including unfair labor practices charges, petitions to determine collective-bargaining representatives, petitions to decertify labor organizations, and petitions to rescind union security contract clauses. Examining cases by reviewing all pertinent records of the charged party and the charging party to determine if new/amended charges are warranted. Under direct supervision, litigating unfair labor practice cases before Administrative Law Judges, and related proceedings in federal court, including examining and cross-examining witnesses, introducing evidence and exhibits, lodging appropriate objections, and arguing motions made by the parties.
