Assistant United States Attorney (Appellate )

The United States Attorney's Office, Middle District of Florida (MDFL), is seeking an experienced attorney interested in working in our Appellate Division, Post-Conviction Section. The MDFL is headquartered in Tampa and has branch offices in Orlando, Jacksonville, Fort Myers and Ocala. This position can be filled in any of our 5 offices. The person hired for this position will represent the United States in a variety of post-conviction litigation, including addressing defendants' motions seeking relief from their convictions or sentences under 28 U.S.C. §§ 2241 and 2255 and 18 U.S.C. § 3582. The position will require some appearances in United States District Court and also may entail practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
