About the role
As a Developmental Physical Scientist within the Geological Hazards Science Center, some of your specific duties will include: Conducts developmental work to deliver operational products related to landslide hazard science. Automates reproducible landslide hazard workflows. Develops scientific software and adapts existing or new computing technologies to solve problems in hazards science. Investigates landslide hazard and risk scientific problems using principles of geology, geophysics, geomorphology. engineering geology, hydrology, remote sensing, meteorology, or climatology. Presents developmental products and research results orally and in published peer review scientific journals.
