Supervisory Physical Scientist/Geographer

As a Chief Topographic Data Services within the National Geospatial Program (NGP), some of your specific duties will include: Supervises Topographic Data Services staff, including permanent and temporary employees and manages daily operations such as performance reviews, travel, attendance, leave, and purchasing. Develops and provides strategic direction for major initiatives like the 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) and 3D Hydrography Program (3DHP) within the 3D National Topography Model. Builds relationships with data providers and private-sector geospatial firms to support 3DEP and 3DHP. Reviews and evaluates programs for alignment with NGP, USGS, and departmental goals. Ensures NGP participation in interagency geospatial initiatives. Provides input and deliverables for leadership on budget, staffing, and planning activities.
