About the role
The selectee will serve as a Security Specialist in the Office of Training, James J Rowley Training Center. Typical work assignments include: Initiating, evaluating, and coordinating access control procedures, background investigations, and daily clearances for all visitor types; and conducts the research, development and installation of physical security systems and databases. Validating Personal Identity Verification Cards (PIV) are issued properly and monitoring the effectiveness of enterprise security programs, activities and functions, and provides advice and guidance pertaining to access control systems and procedures. Maintaining the integrity of the intrusion detection systems (IDS), Visual Management Systems (VMS) and physical security measures installed throughout the complex and conducting audits regarding preventative maintenance and updates to current the intrusion detection systems (IDS), Visual Management Systems (VMS) and physical security measures.
