Physical Security Specialist

Responsible for the implementation of policies and development of procedures for the physical protection of the installation. Coordinate with other installation and other agencies in the preparation of emergency plans (i.e., bomb threats, disaster plans, etc.). Program annual physical security and follow-up surveys and inspections of activities. Conduct routine physical and internal security inspections unannounced, detecting deficiencies and violations of directives. Analyzes facts to prepare recommendations as to responsibility for violations. Monitor the key control system, mobility badge system and security exchange badge system to insure adequacy and regulatory compliance. Coordinate operations of the Visitor Control Center (VCC). Assists the Security Manager in coordinating the installation's countering terrorism plan.
