COMPLIANCE INVESTIGATOR

This position is on the front-line at U.S. ports with other federal agencies playing a crucial role in protecting America's families from unsafe consumer products. The Office is primarily comprised of Compliance Investigators who spend a substantial amount of their time at port locations across the country. Duties include: On-site import surveillance; Conducting follow-up investigation of importing firms to determine the extent and magnitude of a firm's importation of hazardous products; Serving in a multi-faceted investigative role which includes on-site import surveillance; conducting follow-up investigation of importing firms to determine the extent and magnitude of a firm's importation of hazardous products; Working to enhance CPSC's relationship with local port officials, brokers, and industry by providing expert advice and training regarding CPSC regulations and enforcement issues; and Managing individual case investigation and personally conduct nationwide investigations involvi
