RECREATION ASSISTANT (FRAME SHOP)

PHYSICAL EFFORTS: Light to moderately heavy physical effort is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds or more is frequent. Frequent bending, standing, and stooping for extended periods of time. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintains and operates the frame shop for patron use and provides framing service to customers. Maintains and uses a variety of equipment used in the making of picture frames. Develops curriculum for basic and advanced framing and mat classes. Demonstrates proper techniques and methods used in framing. Assists with mat selection, color coordination, decorative mat selection, and frame size. Demonstrates and follows safety procedures in equipment use. Registers patrons, collects appropriate fees, and issues materials, tools and equipment. Frames patron artwork or pictures to customer's order. Maintains shop tools and assures tools are kept in good working order. Assists in the woodworking shop when necessary using woodworking equi
