About the role

Develop law enforcement programs and operating plans for the installation and is responsible for planning, supervising, and managing the operations of the division. Review and evaluate staff actions for adherence to organizational policy. Plan for current and long-range operations based on workload trends and projected requirements. Establish training programs within the department to ensure initial training, sustainment training and training on new policy and law is conducted. Advise top-level installation managers on police department issues impacting them and develop acceptable solutions to problems. Identify problem areas and makes necessary changes in policies and procedures to correct deficiencies and to meet short and long range objectives. Direct the law enforcement staff directly or indirectly through subordinate supervisors performing the various police functions. Maintain good grievance procedures and personally resolve significant employee and group complaint seeking assist
