Lead Transportation Asst (OA)

Duties: Responsibilities and duties include, but not limited to: Responsible for ensuring the Beneficiary Travel office staff provide transportation to beneficiaries and their attendants traveling to and from VA facilities and other VA authorized places for examination, treatment, or care. Plan, assign, review, accept/reject work complete by subordinates and able to provide initial training and remedial training when necessary. Oversees the transportation assistants performing all administrative office functions. This includes determining eligibility and processing requests. Contact approving officials to authorize obligations and requests for additions, deductions, and/or movement of funds. Makes necessary changes to all fund control points. Receives invoices for payment of transportation services. Investigates authorizations, orders, and/or utilizes the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) to review medical records.
