THE ROLE Phylo is building the intelligence layer for biology. We need a scientific storyteller who can take us from early traction to category-defining brand - someone who turns frontier AI-for-science into narratives that move individual researchers and enterprise buyers alike. This is a full-time, first-marketing-hire role. You'll own content strategy and execution across scientific writing, social media, blog, video, and academic publications, while helping run our rapidly growing academic lab program. The ideal candidate has a scientific background (biology, bioengineering, genomics, computational biology, or adjacent) and a creative, writer-first orientation. You've read papers, maybe published them, and you know how to turn dense science into content that's both rigorous and magnetic. This role may be remote or in-person in South San Francisco.
