Contract Specialist (Direct Hire)

Serves as the business advisor responsible for all pre-award and/or post award functions for a variety of supply, service, research, and/or construction contracts. Performs all aspects of the contracting from initiation to recommendation of award to procurement of items or services with specialized requirements. Responsible for analyzing the requirement, recommending revisions to the statement of work or specifications, and deciding the type of contract, milestones, and acquisition plans. Monitors status of contract performance, approval of progress payments, reviewing and providing recommendations on contractor proposals resulting from change orders, scheduling, and problems that have arisen and proposed solutions.
