Recreation Assistant (Outdoor Recreation)

Duties and Responsibilities: Assists in planning and scheduling recreation programs and special events (i.e. camp-outs, info fairs) for the Outdoor Recreation Center. Issues rental equipment, checks equipment for damage and instructs patrons on the proper use of the equipment. Registers patrons for activities. Prepares skis for rental to include grinding, sharpening and waxing. Assists with maintenance, repair and cleaning of all recreation equipment. Enters data into POS system for rental and retail inventory, issuing and receiving. Receives payments and monitors the recreational vehicle storage lot, FamCamp and other recreation areas. Sells lift tickets, entertainment, amusement park and special event tickets, and all related inventory, following required cash handling procedures and accountability. Prepares daily cash reports and deposits money on a daily basis. Makes reservations for the FamCamp, picnic areas and all rental equipment. Displays stock and inventory items so that they
