Deputy Director

Supports the Division Director in staff oversight, including planning and assigning work, establishing priorities, evaluating employee performance, managing leave, and addressing and resolving staff complaints. Promotes equitable workload and resource distribution across teams and provides strategic guidance on management, training, and administrative matters, including delegations of authority, organizational analysis, and internal controls. Reviews and renders determinations on provider/supplier enrollment Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and reconsiderations. Tracks, reviews, and analyzes appeal decisions at the first level and identifies programmatic vulnerabilities in Medicare and Medicaid to mitigate fraud, waste, and abuse. Communicates analytical results, recommendations, and solutions clearly, orally and in writing, and produces a range of deliverables including briefings, correspondence, evaluations, issue papers, and reports.
