Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist

Perform the full range of supervisory duties for staff of trained professionals who interpret Medicaid and CHIP program policy to support and assure appropriate state implementation of the rules and processes governing Medicaid and CHIP. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting and adjusting short-term priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work. Lead and manage the implementation and interpretation of applicable federal laws and regulations that directly govern the operation and management of the Medicaid and CHIP programs. Advise and counsel employees on both work and administrative matters. Lead and direct projects to analyze key Medicaid and CHIP policy issues to support legislative, regulatory, policy or operational initiatives. Lead and manage the monitoring, oversight, and compliance of Medicaid and CHIP programs and the related interactions with states and the stakeholder community.
