Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The Staff Psychologist position is within the Mental Health & Behavioral Science Service (MHBSS) line at the Providence VA Healthcare Systems (VAPHS) split between the New Bedford, MA location and Hyannis, MA location . This position is full-time at 40 hours per week. In addition to providing direct patient care, the psychologist has some administrative duties but does not have any collateral research or supervisory responsibilities. The duties of the position include but are not limited to: Provides brief, evidence-based assessment and treatment for Veterans as part of Primary Care Mental Health Integration Provides a full range of psychological assessment services and diagnoses mental disorders. Provides education to patients, family members, and significant others. Provides comprehensive, evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
