About the role
As a Supervisory Hydrologic Technician within the Nevada Water Science Center, some of your specific duties will include: The incumbent provides full supervisory oversight of the Northern Nevada Field Office's hydrologic data-collection and analysis operations. This includes directing office and field activities related to the collection, computation, and evaluation of hydrologic data. The incumbent initiates and maintains regular communication with Federal, State, county, Tribal, and local cooperators to discuss water-resources information needs, explain USGS data requirements, and identify potential new studies or modifications to existing programs. The supervisor directs the collection, analysis, interpretation, and review of hydrologic data produced by Field Office personnel ranging from GS-6 through GS-11.
