Management Analyst (CYS), NF-05

Serves as senior management analyst for the Child and Youth Services (CYS) Directorate providing guidance, assistance, and direction to field and directorate staff. Provides subject matter expertise to the CYS Director in the analysis and evaluation of services and policies to determine resources, operational effectiveness, and systemic issues related to programs serving over 460,000 children and youth at 124 locations Army wide. Conducts research, maintains historical background, ascertains current status, and develops strategies to address major policy and operational guidance subject to Congressional, GAO, DoD, AAA, and higher level command review. Interprets and proposes policy changes and develops management tools to enhance effectiveness of program managers and field staff. Monitors changing CYS missions, program needs and research findings.
