About the role
The Assistant Manager reports directly to the Manager of the ADO and serves as the principle adviser on technical operations within the ADO, including 77 Federally funded airports throughout New York and New Jersey as well as 25 Part 139 certified airports. Oversees and supervises a highly technically diverse workforce composed of civil engineers, environmental specialists, financial specialists and community planners. Provides advice, guidance and oversight in the administration of various mission critical technical programs including, the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and the Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) program. The AIP approaches $150 million dollars annually, and the Passenger Facility Charge Program entails more than $337 million dollars in annual collections.
