About the role
You will perform mechanical piping and sound isolation inspections on nuclear submarines and nuclear /nonnuclear surface ships. You will perform arrival and pre-inspections of systems/components to determine existing conditions (deficiencies/discrepancies) prior to the start of an overhaul. You will perform surveillances and audits on multiple ships systems, components, and processes in accordance with non-nuclear inspection division surveillance plan. You will initiate work stoppage/deficiency from when further work would cover a defect or endanger personnel or equipment. You will assure effective use of the team by, passing on instructions received from the supervisor to initiate the work and follow instruction received are to complete assignments to achieve the mission goals.
