Civil Engineer

Develops and reviews engineering designs and the preparation of contract documents, which consist of plans, specifications and construction cost estimates. Manages project through contract and completion. Coordinates designs of proposed changes of specifications of buildings, systems and structures with staff and senior professional engineers of other engineering disciplines. Develops criteria for civil engineering features to be used by architectural-engineering firms in preparing designs. Serves as Project Manager, provides construction oversight and quality assurance for civil engineering related projects. Responsible for the technical accuracy and adequacy of construction and maintenance projects within the facilities - $750,000/2,000,000 approval authority. Designs civil, sanitary engineering and structural systems and facilities, such as buildings, walls, roads, storm drain and sanitary sewer systems, houses and training facilities.
