Electrician Leader

Major duties include, but are not limited to: Serves as work leader of multiple employees in accomplishing trades and labor work in support of the Facilities Management Division. Provides advice to workers on how to follow supervisory instructions and meet deadlines. Assists the supervisor with the preparation and ordering of materials to perform maintenance, repair and improvements to systems and structures throughout the medical center (ensuring that needed stock is obtained from supply locations for maintenance tasks). Assists in training employees on the proper steps to complete work orders and any associated tasks. Installs, modifies, repairs, troubleshoots, and tests new and existing electric systems including underground primary (13,800 volts) and secondary (480/277/208/120 volts) single and polyphase distribution systems, diesel operated auxiliary power generating systems, and pneumatic tube systems.
