MAINTENANCE WORKER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides general maintenance assistance to higher grade personnel in the trades of Carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work , and refrigeration. Painting tasks include sanding, scraping , priming , and masking. Assists in clearing stoppages in plumbing and repairing leaking faucets; replaces washes in faucets. Replaces door moldings, tightens and adjusts doors, and makes minor repairs to bars. Assists in the replacement and repair of electrical fixtures. Assists in the maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment, appliances, and refrigeration units. 2. Performs duties in construction, alteration and repair or modification of items and structures such as framework, doors, floors, ceilings, walls, finished paneling and windows. Determines and applies standard measurements and specifications aided by clear and specific instructions, templates, precut or preplanned materials. 3.
