About the role
The primary duties of the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) Clinical Counselor are to: Deliver comprehensive FAP services to active duty Marines, their family members, and others as authorized by Department of Defense (DoD) policy. Provide non-medical counseling, screening, assessment, evidence-based and informed interventions, service planning, and clinical case management services. Comprehensive non-medical counseling services consists of individual, couple, family and group sessions. Provide services to clients that address emotional problems, behavioral problems, life stressors, domestic abuse, child abuse, and problematic sexual behaviors in children and youth (PSB-CY). Conduct psychosocial assessments with individuals, couples and families and make recommendations for services. Include client in service plan development.
