About the role
This position is located in the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau (CGB), Consumer Policy Division (CPD). The attorney will be actively involved in rulemaking proceedings related to key consumer protection initiatives such as robocall and robotext blocking, call branding, customer service, and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). These also include transparency initiatives such as the Broadband Label and other point-of-sale and billing disclosure for consumers of all services, and other facets of the Commission's work that impact consumers. The attorney will handle matters that are technical and complex and require an ability to synthesize precedent, develop legal arguments, grasp engineering concepts, and understand telecommunications network structures.
