About the role
As a Attorney - Advisor (Appropriations, Employment or Ethics), GS-0905-13/14/15, your typical work assignments may include the following: Attorney - Advisor (Appropriations) Provides counsel to OMB leadership, managers, and staff at all levels across OMB, the Executive Office of the President; and other Federal agencies. Drafts legislation; reviews draft legislative proposals for legality, soundness, and advisability; conducts in-depth analyses of the legal application of budgetary concepts; interprets enacted laws; and frequently interfaces and collaborates with leadership and counsel across federal agencies. Provides legal advice on regulatory law, including the application of the Administrative Procedure Act, in addition to appropriations law. Attorney - Advisor (Employment) Advises OMB managers, supervisors, and human capital staff on legal requirements and procedures through individual consultation and coordination, briefings, and training.
