About the role
As a Supervisory General Engineer/Physical Scientist, the incumbent will : Report to the Assistant Manager for Environment, Safety and Health and maintains responsibility for providing management, leadership, direction, coordination, day-to-day, guidance and implementation of activities to provide effective management of the safety, health and environmental subject matter experts. Utilize tact and diplomacy in advancing ideas and concepts that may have a significant bearing on office policy that can affect political, economic, and social conditions. This often requires communicating complex technical information into a form that lay persons can interpret and utilize. Stimulate creative ideas and thinking which will assist the NNSA/NFO management and other high-level officials in improving organizational processes, efficiencies, and effectiveness.
