About the role
The Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) - Nuclear Medicine practices as a licensed independent practitioner providing advanced, evidence-based specialty care to Veterans across the continuum of care. Independently manages a panel of patients with acute and chronic conditions, with a strong emphasis on diagnostic evaluation, disease management, care coordination, and patient education. Requires advanced clinical judgment, prescriptive authority, and leadership within a multidisciplinary care environment, including close collaboration with oncology, radiology, pharmacy, nursing, and ancillary services. Actively contributes to quality improvement, population health outcomes, and aligns care delivery with VA missions and ICARE core values.
