TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

You will serve as a TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST in the LITTLE CREEK BASE COMMUNICATIONS OFFICE (BCO), HAMPTON ROADS BCO DIVISION, EXTERNAL SUPPORT DEPARTMENT at the NAVAL COMPUTER AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS AREA MASTER STATION ATLANTIC. You will be responsible for receiving and analyzing telecommunications service requests (TSR) from host and tenant organizations. You will perform frequent on-site inspections requiring examination of equipment/systems/facilities for sufficient functionality, and for adequate space and safety compliance. You will consult with the heads of activities or departments to determine telecommunications requirements, or to study network traffic patterns. You will prepare task orders to contract for regulated telecommunications services; and submit, along with other appropriate documentation, to contracting officials for authorization.
