Supervisory Transportation Program Manager (SME) (Open to both U.S. Citizens and Federal Employees)

As a Supervisory Transportation Program Manager, you will: Develop and direct the administration of FTA's major formula and discretionary grant programs including programs for: rural areas, tribes, the enhanced mobility of seniors and individuals with disabilities, and other programs that may arise. Recommend statutory, regulatory, procedural, and administrative changes that would affect the grant programs. Develop program information and respond to inquiries from Congress, the Government Accountability Office, and other stakeholders on grant program implementation. Direct the management of FTA's major technical assistance programs, such as the Rural Transit Assistance Program, to assist communities and transit agencies with program requirements and improvements to transportation services.
