About the role
You will serve as an Electrician and be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical wiring systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment in industrial, institutional, office, and residential buildings. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Installing and troubleshooting new and/or altering/relocating existing circuits in support of other building trades in variety of buildings, roadways/parking lots and waterfront facilities.. Working with single and multiphase systems of up to 12,000 volts AC and 240 volts DC to install and maintain power and control cable structures involving bending and laying of conduit (rigid, thin wall and flex) and pulling, splicing and connecting cable..
