Materials Examiner and Identifier

Collects, received, identifies, sorts, and moves material to the baler, ensuring the material is correct to process. The operation requires the incumbent to identify the recyclable material during the sorting process in accordance with general instructions and standard procedures and policies of the recycle operation. Ensures that all customers who turn-in recyclables sign in the logbook maintained in the recycling center to trach activities and reporting. Operates both a forklift capable of lifting 6,000 pounds and a baler. General operation of the forklift will include moving, loading, unloading transferring, transporting, stacking, and un-stacking recycled material, other goods, boxes, and equipment used by or in support of the recycle operation. Operates forklift to load truck trailers. Maintains the vehicle logbook and equipment as required.
