About the role
Independently conduct complex 3D and 2D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of the head, spine, extremities, and body, ensuring precise image acquisition for diagnostic purposes. Receive and instruct patients by explaining procedures, methods, safety precautions, and risks, position them accurately, start intravenous lines (IV) as needed, and produce required images for examinations. Identify and correct image artifacts to enhance quality, collaborate with radiologists to tailor imaging protocols for both standard and complex cases, and promptly notify physicians of significant findings during exams. Administer emergency medications under physician guidance and manage emergency equipment such as defibrillators, oxygen, and suction devices. Retrieve and present images to radiologists and referring physicians to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. Assist in the triage of scheduling patients. Train other staff in performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures.
