About the role
You will conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections in buildings, dry docks, on ships, piers, and in various facilities to identify and provide recommendations, advice, and guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers. You will provide mentoring assistance and directions to other production shop personnel to ensure prevention of injuries. You will provide interaction with various trades such as Ship fitters, Riggers, Insulators, Welders, etc. who are responsible for execution of production tasks. You will promote safety awareness through the engagement in production shop, and project safety committee. You will instruct all levels of workers and management in program requirements, establish and maintain liaison with shops, Process Managers, QA offices, and other Codes to ensure efficient coordination with established program requirements. You will act as an advocate for department program requirements and implement policies established by higher levels.
