About the role
As a Hatchery Policy Lead (Fish and Wildlife Administrator), you will: Independently provide direction and technical leadership to internal and external stakeholders on policies and procedures related to BPA funded hatchery funded activities. Serve as an expert representative for BPA in Endangered Species Act (ESA) consultations with National Marine Fisheries Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Ensure regulatory compliance with Endangered Species Act (ESA), Northwest Power Act, and relevant state and local regulations and requirements, legal mandates, and prudent business practices, Analyze BPA funded hatchery programs, projects, activities, business objectives and goals to ensure conformance with regulatory and contractual requirements. Identify alternatives, improvements, and/or project modifications designed to address implementation obstacles while ensuring cost-effective and consistent reliability standards.
