EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST

Serves as HQ AFFSA weapon systems/subsystems maintenance/Subject Matter Expert. Provides Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems (ATCALS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) oversight and technical guidance concerning system siting, training, and assistance to technicians. Conducts on-the-job (OJT) training to apprentices in all phases of work and performs Quality Assurance (QA) inspections. Serves as a Team Chief and lead technical advisor on behalf of HQ AFFSA for systems and subsystems. Represents HQ USAF and HQ AFFSA with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
