Security Guard (Escort )

This position is in the Office of Protection Services, Administrator's Staff, National Gallery of Art (NGA). The incumbent is supervised by a Sergeant, AOP­ Operations (AOP-OPS). The primary purpose of the work in this position is to perform as security escort to contractors or visitors to the National Gallery of Art. In this poisition, you will: Primarily escorts contractors who are working at the National Gallery during public and non-public hours. Serve as an escort to visitors in public and non-public spaces. Maintain access control and escorts National Gallery contractors in locations vulnerable to crimes against persons, theft, vandalism, and other damage. Control access by monitoring the identification credentials for National Gallery employees, contractors and visitors entering controlled areas and referring persons who lack proper credentials to a control point to arrange access.
