About the role

You will serve as a Maritime Training Auditor (External) and be responsible for . Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Reviews mariner training provider course approval terms and conditions to use as the basis for audit activities and post-audit review. Travels to training provider's primary site location, alternate site location or assigned location to conduct audit activities and other missions as assigned. Leads audits of approved maritime training providers to verify course compliance with regulations and approval terms. Prepares audit reports according to Techniques, Tactics, and Procedures (TTP) and Mission Management System (MMS) documentation publishing within prescribed timeframe. Monitors training providers progress towards resolution of outstanding non-conformities and evaluates corrective actions to achieve conformity.
