About the role
Directs resource conservation planning, biology, and plant technology state specialists and coordinates their activities to assist the field staff in the implementation of a comprehensive conservation program. Provides needed training to field personnel in the development, adaption, and use of resource data for broad resource planning activities. Provides state leadership for the development, improvement, and maintenance of technical data, standards, guides, and manuals related to resource conservation planning, biology, recreation, plant technology, and resource development. Serves as consultant and advisor to the STC and other staff members in developing state policy concerning resource conservation planning, management practice implementation and vegetative phases of conservation programs.
