About the role
As an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Network Services) at the GS- 2210-13 level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Analyzing and making recommendations regarding the design of a secure network architecture, and infrastructure in both on-premise and cloud native platforms and environments; installing, testing, maintaining, and upgrading components consistent with network architecture; configuring and optimizing local and wide area networking, TCP/IP, and web-based technologies. Monitoring network traffic for unusual activity, potential threats, and vulnerabilities. Regularly analyzing logs and alert data to identify and mitigate security incidents. Ensuring IT services and/or equipment are compliant and/or aligned to federal regulatory and department/agency policies during deployment and through the operational lifecycle.
