Plays a vital role in the promotion of flight safety in the maintenance procedures developed for aircraft inspection, servicing, and overhaul that will affect maintenance programs for operators utilizing aircraft built by the assigned manufacturer. The work of this position has-significant impact on the entire industry. The incumbent must possess a high degree of competence in the various segments of aircraft maintenance and a thorough and current knowledge of the techniques and philosophies responsible for achieving continued airworthiness. Must have expert knowledge of the regulations, policies, procedures, and technical and administrative factors affecting the full scope of aircraft maintenance activities of the Flight Standards Service.
