DUTY 1: Participates in all aspects of sample handling and processing activities for national and international monitoring, inspection, and R&D programs. Coordinates with evaluation and collection personnel to ensure written documentation is consistent with samples received. DUTY 2: Perform radiation surveys to measure levels of ionizing radiation and to apply appropriate operating procedures for 400 - 600 high-value environmental samples annually, supporting national and international nuclear treaty monitoring missions. DUTY 3: Assist in monitoring the performance of a 6000 square foot multi-class cleanroom. This includes, but is not limited to, mechanical system performance and maintenance and assuring temperature, humidity, relative pressure, and airborne particulate count remain within specifications.
