Supervisory Life Scientist/Environmental Engineer/Physical Scientist (Deputy Director)

You will: Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the organizational unit goals and objectives to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Recommend program activities to be tracked, develop criteria for staff performance, and determine appropriate actions of impact for establishing, developing, and maintaining effective working relationships of personnel. Overview and track daily operations, manage large group of employees into offices or branches, and develop and implement the administrative budget to achieve objectives of environmental protection. Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities to advise and provide counsel regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management for employee development. You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
