CONTRACT SPECIALIST

You will provide strategic weapons and strategic weapons system support to the fleet and other designated activities, and to perform other such functions and tasks as may be directed by higher authority. You will evaluate contractor performance for compliance with terms and conditions of contracts and ensures timely submission of technical progress reports and performance metrics. You will assist with the administration of all contractual aspects of support services and goods to meet system acquisition program. You will prepare letters, memoranda, documents, or reports that support service agreements, contractual actions, or recommendations. You will assist to determine the appropriate method of procurement (e.g., simplified acquisitions or negotiation) using a wide range of contracting methods and contract types.
